Description
"Marty Cassatt" is a 14" jointed vinyl baby doll on a stuffed pink cloth body that was manufactured by Madame Alexander circa 1969-1970. She is incised on the back of her head, "Alexander//19©61." Her pinafore is tagged "Madame Alexander," and not "Mary Cassatt" though. She appears pretty much UN-played with, though she sustains flaws. Her vinyl is pale, her eyes are a bit cloudy, her eyelids have lost some of their flesh tone coloring just above her molded lashes, and her right arm suffers streaks of grime which may or may not be removable. Her stuffed pink cloth body remains fairly clean, though its waist sustains an indentation from a former posing stand. Her blue hat retains its floral embellishments, but is tiny spotted on its backside. More notable spotting and soil occur from one side seam to the other along the backside of both her dress and the white pinafore. Her outfit may need laundering. She also smells of cellar scent from storage. Though she may need a bit of "sprucing up," Mary Cassatt remains and appealing and harder to find Madame Alexander baby doll. She was made for only one year! Endearing is the fact that "Santa" gave her as a gift to "Pam," as her Christmas tag notes.PLEASE study the photos carefully and email with all questions, as my photos are part of the description! I do not want you to be disappointed. Though I have tried to provide an honest and detailed description, I may have omitted information that is important to you. I have also provided photos that "speak volumes."
