17" 1940s Composition Baby Doll, Clean Factory Original, Unmarked

Description

This unmarked baby doll, has a cloth stuffed body (absolutely clean - no stains, holes or wear) with composition arms and legs (has pink tint on knees and tops of hands). One tiny crack (not lifted) on side of left leg. She is dressed in her factory original clothing consisting of crisp white dress with underclothes including pink fitted undies and a pink satin jacket and matching bonnet - vibrant color, excellent, no holes or tears anywhere, complete with her original rayon socks and oilcloth baby booties.
She has blue sleep eyes - missing some eyelashes on the left eye, not noticeable when eyes are open. After close inspection, I can see that she has been professionally restored - an excellent job. I can see some minor paint flaking off at the neck (see last 2 photos). I only saw this when I undressed her to take photos. She actually looks like a mint condition doll, which is what I thought when I purchased her - that is how good the restoration is. She looks beautiful sitting in a vintage doll bed (especially along with other similar baby dolls). I have seen some poor repairs on these dolls but this was done by a very talented person; I wish I knew how to restore these dolls back to their original beauty. She makes quite a stunning appearance - as I stated she looks like a mint condition original doll!
