Ferrari book: “Trecento All’ Oro” by Shell Oil Italiana (1960); Nice Original.
This wonderful book is a publication by Shell Oil Italiana from March 1960 and is in Italian text. These are exceptionally rare pieces and they were not originally distributed outside of Italy. Translated to “300 per hour “, it refers to the racing speed of 300 kilometers per hour. The illustrations by Guido Crepax (Crepas) are the star of the show here, 20 in black & white, and 20 in color. His artwork was already famous as a comic illustrator in Italy and I believe that this was his first book publication. It is 46 pages in length, Elli & Pagani Publishing of Milan for Shell. Now some 62 years old this piece is in nice condition. Please note the stain (coffee?) on the upper binding, the interior pages are perfect. A bit of normal yellowing with age. Colors are still vibrant and take the reader back to the Golden Era of racing. We kindly ask that you carefully review all the photographs for condition issues and descriptions before purchasing.
