Description
NEIL ARMSTRONG. Television screen photograph of Armstrong’s Gemini VIII mission launch taken and gifted by the Armstrong family to Neil Armstrong. The photograph was likely gifted to Armstrong by his parents shortly after returning from the first successful docketing of two spacecraft in orbit and first life-threatening in-space system failure.

The black and white photograph depicts the CBS Coverage of the Gemini VIII launch, measures 3.5” by 3.5”, in overall fine condition, encapsulated in a Collectibles Authentication Guaranty holder with the header from “The Armstrong Family Collection” (Certification Number: 1000227-011), and accompanied with a signed letter of authenticity from Armstrong’s two sons, Rick and Mark, acknowledging the photograph came from the Armstrong family collection.
ENCAPSULATED IN A CAG HOLDER WITH THE HEADER FROM “THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY COLLECTION” AND ACCOMPANIED WITH A SIGNED LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM ARMSTRONG’S SONS
Personal items belonging to Armstrong are virtually nonexistent and we were unable to locate any available for sale before 2018. A wonderful historical piece on Armstrong’s first space mission personally owned by the first man on the moon.
