  • Condition: I'm assuming this is a restored Horsman Mama doll. Her cloth body is very clean and her skin color is darker than I would expect from a 1920's Horsman doll. There is no crazing but there is a fine crack on the right side of her face. Her face paint is lovely with a closed and pursed mouth, feathered frowning eyebrows, and dimples. Her hair is flattened from wearing her bonnet. Her crier squeaks.

    Description

    E. I. Horsman produced the Mama doll line from 1920 on. The cloth bodies have stitched hip joints to allow the lower legs to swing. The heads, arms, and lower legs are composition. This is a very lovely 23" Horsman doll. She has a flanged neck head and is marked "HORSMAN DOLL or DOLLS". She has an endearing expression with her frowning brows, tightly pursed lips, and deep dimples. Her lovely blue sleep eyes are fringed with real lashes and painted lashes. This Mama doll is wearing a new outfit including:
    A pink and white dotted dress accented with flowers and lace.
    A matching bonnet accented with ribbon and lace.
    A pink slip with attached underwear.
    Shoes and socks.
