    Description

This is a rubber stamp used by the Glenn L Martin Company during manufacture of the Titan II used as a launch vehicle for the Gemini Program. It reads GEMINI MAN RATED, BOOST US TO A SAFE FLIGHT BY DOING A SUPERIOR JOB. The Titan Booster was originally used for the ICBM program in the US and later adapted for Gemini. The Titan II launched from April 1964 to November 1966 and carried astronauts like Gus Grissom, Jim Lovell, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin into space.
The rubber is dry but as you can see from the last photo the imprint is still clear.
Provenance - My Grandfather was a manager at the Glenn L Martin facility in Middle River, Maryland.
As with all my auctions, I am sure you will be 100% satisfied with your purchase.
    Thanks for looking.
