    Description

This is original artwork of Ferrari driver Vittorio Marzotto driving the Ferrari 500 Mondial, finishing second in the 1954 Mille Miglia.
The artwork was created by the internationally acclaimed, automotive artist illustrator, Argentinian-born, Hector Luis Bergandi.
Vittorio Marzotto was one of the leading official Ferrari Factory Drivers during the early 1950’s along with Castellotti, Stagnoli, Biondetti, Ascari, Farina, Gonzalez, G. Marzotto, P. Marzotto, Taruffi and Trintignant among others.
    V. Marzotto had many successful racing finishes while driving for Ferrari.
“His greatest victory was the 1952 Monaco Grand Prix where he finished first, driving the Ferrari 225 S Spyder Vignale.
It was also Scuderia Ferrari’s greatest victory as well. Marzotto finished first in the Ferrari 225 S.
Castellotti finished second in the Ferrari 225 S.
Stagnoli finished third in the Ferrari 225 S. Jean Lucas finished fourth in the Ferrari 225 S driving for Luigi Chinetti. And Pierre Boncompagni finished fifth in the Ferrari 225 S Vignale Berlinetta for ‘Pagnibon’ ”.
The artist, Hector Luis Bergandi, illustrated the Ferrari Piloti starting with the 1947 stable of official Ferrari drivers. Bergandi's interpretation of each Pilot is compelling, expressive and exciting,
capturing the true racing challenges of each driver and the Ferrari race car they drove.
    Provenance & Content Validation:
My agency, Hank Forssberg Inc. Advertising handled the Advertising and Marketing for Ferrari North America from 1977 through 1995. During that 18-year relationship with Ferrari North America and Ferrari S.p.A., I accumulated an extensive collection of hundreds of Ferrari collectibles/memorabilia from Ferrari North America and from the Factory in Maranello, Italy.
I personally recommended to Ferrari North America Management that they launch the introduction of the 348 Spider in Beverly Hills, California by closing off Rodeo Drive and having the first ever Ferrari Concours d’Elegance on Rodeo Drive as the highlight of the 348 Spider Introduction.
My agency designed and produced all of the marketing and advertising materials for the 348 Spider Introduction including the Poster, Letterhead and Envelopes, Invitations, Event Program, Parking Passes, Windshield ID’s, VIP Wrist Bands, 348 Spider Spec. Sheets, Etc.
During my 18-year relationship with Ferrari, I was also the Editor of Rosso Ferrari Magazine.
During my tenure, I edited and published 9 Issues from 1990 through 1993 including Issue number Eight – Ferrari Rodeo Drive.
As the Editor of Rosso Ferrari Magazine, I commissioned internationally acclaimed, automotive artist/illustrator, Argentinian-born, Hector Luis Bergandi to create Ferrari Car Art Illustrations to be featured in Rosso Ferrari Issues.
As a result of my relationship with Mr. Bergandi, I also commissioned him to design a poster for the 348 Spider Rodeo Drive Introduction.
This listing is just one example of the many unique and rare collectibles from my extensive Ferrari Collection, which I am in the process of selling.
For the past 47 years or so, I have kept all my Ferrari collectibles in an Archival Storage environment in order to preserve as much of their original condition as possible. All of my Ferrari collectibles are originals and range in condition from good to excellent to original museum-quality.
