We saw another seller include the following information and we thought it was a great idea idea. In the paper instructions FIREBIRD states that after filling you need to turn the butane all the way down and then slowly turn it up little by little until it lights and then do any final adjustments. 99% of lighters sent back as not working  worked fine when filled and adjusted this way.
