Vintage Early Figural Mechanical PENCIL UTICA Pocket LIGHTER

Description

A rare, early, telescopic mechanical pencil and cigarette lighter combination in the shape of a Champagne bottle.
German, for the Canadian market.
Ca. 1920's-1930's.
Chrome plated brass body. Has applied brass label and bottle cap.
Height when closed:
ca. 3 1/4 inches  (ca. 8.3 cm.).
Marked on bottom: UTICA CO., MONTREAL, PATENT PEND., ALLEMAGNE.
Lighter is concealed in the bottom.
Telescopic mechanical  pencil works by twisting the bottle cap and then twisting the pencil tip.
Lighter works but needs flint and fluid.
Very good used condition  with some plating wear.
A scarce, early, figural pencil lighter.
