WWII GERMAN ADLERWERKE A.G. FACTORY WORKER BADGE #9963 BY E.F. WIEDMANN

Description

Here we have a very nice WWII German Adlerwerke factory worker’s numbered badge in very good condition. The white enameled circular badge measures 1⅛ inches in diameter and features a stylized eagle over the worker’s number, “9963” in the center. Below this, at the bottom of the badge is, “ADLERWERKE A.G.”. The reverse is with a safety type pin held firmly in place by a flanged piece of metal. One side of this retainer is marked, “E.F. WEIDMANN” and the other, “FRANKFURT - M.”. The reverse also bears this marker’s mark in raised letters at the lower part of the badge. There is a small chip in the white enamel at the base of the letter “K” on the obverse side and two resulting hairline cracks as can be seen in the photos. Neither of these defects is overly distracting and the badge remains attractive and in very good condition.
